Catch a festival or an event or two

  • Restaurant Appreciation Month Exciting dishes, local swag, and dining freebies await everyone this April.

  • Maifest Downtown is where it’s at, as Leavenworth welcomes spring in May with traditional Maipole dancing and Festzug marching, which kicks off at noon. The month also offers long cider sips, a fun run, Mother’s Day blooms and treats, chainsaw carvers, and live German music and performers.

  • Built a Bouquet! Make Mom happy on Mother’s Day! Give her a beautiful bouquet and see that smile light up her face. Save the date: May 7, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Leavenworth Main Street.

  • Leavenworth Alphorn Celebration Go back in time as ensembles and soloists play iconic alphorn for all to enjoy. Save the date: May 28 – 29

  • Free outdoor concerts Featuring bands, food and beverage. Save the dates: June 11 and July 9 at Haymarket Square, 7thh and Cherokee

  • DIY for Dad Celebrate Father’s Day by joining participating entrepreneurs and creating a card, souvenir handprint, key fob, and snapping a picture at the photo booth with dad. Put these in a gift bag for the man of the house! Save the date: June 18, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Leavenworth Main Street

  • Leavenworth International Accordion Festival Contests, performances, jam sessions, workshops, and an accordion parade make this Northwest Accordion Society event a must-see. Save the dates: June 16-19

  • Music in the Gazebo, Front Street Park Unwind on weekends and many weekdays as live German music fills the air.

  • Summer outdoor theater Enjoy outdoor entertainment as “The Music Man,” “The Secret Garden” and “The Sound of Music” go on stage. Save the dates: July 8 to August 28

  • Autumn Leaf Festival Welcome fall with Leavenworth’s longest festival, now on its 59th year. Enjoy food kiosks, park music, a car show, a children’s parade, and the Grand Parade with this year’s Royal Lady. Save the dates: September 23 to 25.

Discover a lot of fun things to do

  • Play mini golf The Icicle Village Resort mini golf course’s fun decor and obstacles wind through waterfalls, a waterwheel, and Bavarian buildings. Take time to admire the stunning views around the 18-hole Enzian Falls Championship Putting Course.

  • Enjoy Front Street Park Let the family enjoy a leisurely walk around this popular park. Hang out at A Book for all Seasons and try Whistlepunk Ice Cream’s many offerings.

  • Walk around Waterfront Park island Birds call, fish jump, and history lessons abound in this park at the back of downtown. It has a biking and strollers’ area, plus sandy alcoves.

  • Visit Enchanted Park Fishponds, nature trails, softball and soccer fields, and a playground are great stress relievers.

  • Experience the Nutcracker Museum Marvel at more than 7,000 nutcrackers of all shapes, colors and sizes from all over the world.

  • Try river rafting at Wenatchee Go on rafting trips past caves, orchards, the Cascades, and pinnacles at Wenatchee River. Take the family during high water and thrill to the adrenaline-pumping Class IV rapids at Triple Shot and Tinley Falls.

  • Go paddle boarding or stand up paddle boarding Navigate the Icicle downriver by paddleboard as ospreys, eagles, and calm mountain views surround you. Stand up paddleboarding, on the other hand, means standing on an big surfboard and navigating the Icicle River, Lake Wenatchee, and the Wenatchee River.
