J Perrin Cornell

I was born and raised in the Wenatchee Valley. My parents came here in 1918 and my Grandfather and name sake was mayor in the 1920's. Graduated from Eastmont HS, Graduated with a BCS and B of Military Science from Seattle University. Served as a Cpt in the US Army and Battery Commander of a Pershing battery in Germany. Returning from the service, I attended Graduate School at Portland State University and then went to work at a local CPA firm. I was hired by one of the largest Mortgage banking firms in the United States to assist them in managing some Ag loan, also to assist in managing their Small Business Investment Corporation. I eventually was promoted into investor relations and assisted in financing the Seattle Space Needle, Old Tacoma City Hall, Whalers Warf and other projects around the United States and was promoted to the Senior Loan Committee. I then moved to BancShares Mortgage Corporation as VP for Loan Servicing. Still later, I left and joined the Thrift Industry serving as a president of a small S&L and, board member for the Washington League of Savings Assns and other capacities. During this period I attended the University of Notre Dame's School for Mortgage Banking earned some appraisal credentials and was instrumental in establishing a hedging program for residential loan commitments interest rate volatility. From 1990 to 2000 I worked in sales in the local fruit and vegetable industry with clients in Japan, Mexico, Canada and Korea. I then crossed over briefly to promotional marketing and in 2004 obtained my license as a Real Estate Agent in Washington State. I have been a full-time Broker up to the present. My sales in the past 10 years have consistently placed me in the top 10-20 % of agents in the MLS. I make my home in East Wenatchee with my Wife Dianne (from Winthrop) and our Dachshund "Maggie". Together we have one daughter who lives in the area. I am a member of the Wenatchee Golf & CC, and a past director of the NCW Association of REALTORS®, as well as the Washington Association of REALTORS®. I am also a past REALTOR® of the Quarter and Past President of the East Wenatchee Kiwanis. I was a founding member of the NCW Economic Development Council. I enjoy cooking, gardening, reading, and living in the Northwest!
